Math tutorial for parents of middle school students set for Jan. 11, 18 and 25
Parents of students in Grade 6, 7, 8 or 9 have a unique opportunity over the next two months to learn more about their child’s mathematics education.
Joy Morris, along with Math Education students from the University of Lethbridge, are hosting a series of math tutorials for parents to help them support their children and help navigate through the Math curriculum.
Morris, a U of L Mathematics professor, who has a daughter in Grade 7, aims to making Math feel less scary for parents, and give them the confidence to help their children at home.
Math sessions are set for Jan. 11, 18 and 25, and Feb. 1, 7 and 15 at Wilson Middle School (2003-9 Ave. N.)
Parents are asked to bring their questions and concerns, in terms of the challenges they are facing in helping their children with Math.
The math tutorials run from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
